24K gold lustre. This trio of sculptures has spent over 100 hours in a kiln. The gold is applied before the third and last firing.
Hand built stoneware. High fired to 1280 degrees Celcius.
Artists own formulated glazes. Variegated reaction with the iron rich speckled clay to produce lilac, azure and honey highlights.
Pigmented stoneware upper 'suckers' textured with hand carved stamp and finished with real gold.
