Beads is only 10 years old.

She has come to the Jetty Shack for what she thinks is a ‘holiday’. She doesn’t know that the other adult women at the shack are actually all Mariannes, like herself, only older.

Beads is most excited about sleeping in the loft that Fuckanne built for her. It has a ladder and an opening in the roof for starry nights. The other awesome thing Fuckanne did was source a metal circus hoop and attached it to a silk rope. It hangs at the end of the jetty where the carralet nets used to heave fish out of the water. Beads does gymnastics on the hoop while Fuckanne pulls on the rope like a church bell. At sunrise Beads practises a routine with a somersault dive as the dismount.
