Urn Maker Marianne Annereau
Our urns are of superior quality. They are handcrafted and only ever touched by one person.
From the very first design drawing, to the crafting of the urn, to firing of the urn in the kiln, the urn is doted over by artist Marianne Annereau. Each urn is made over the course of two months. Learn more about how we make premium urns here.
Designer Premium Urns
No two urns are the same. Each urn is individually designed. Every element of the urn is made to be exceptional. The form of the urn body is special, the foot of the urn has a notable shape and the profile of the lid is remarkable. The silhouette of each urn is marvellous.
The detail of each urn is what contributes to its enchanting beauty. The choice of clay, subtle texture imprints, additions of porcelain paint and mishima carvings are just a few of the ways urn characteristics produce an aesthetically beautiful piece of fine art. The urn is made to live in a room and draw one’s eyes to admire it’s beauty.
Superior Quality Handmade Urns
We don’t use molds or machined parts in any part of our work. Our urns are made with hands only. They are wheel turned, decorated, fired and packed by hand.
Locally Made Premium Urns Crafted in Australia
Our premium urns are made in our ceramics studio located in Perth, Western Australia. The studio is situated in a separate building at the rear of the artist’s residence. The pottery wheels and kiln are inside. The urns are fired onsite. The firing cycle takes 12-14 hours to reach temperature. Each piece is fired twice. Once at 1000℃ and a second time at 1280℃. The urns take about 20 hours to cool to room temperature after each firing. The high temperature of the firing process transforms the clay pieces to stoneware. This makes our premium urns vitrified, highly durable and non porous.
